The remaining balance is due at the time of the photo shoot.
-
Where are you based?
I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL. My studio is located in downtown Hollywood, FL (USA).
-
Do you travel?
Yes but this require an additional charge to cover my travel costs. If an overnight stay is required, then an additional fee will be added to take into account the extra time away from home.
-
Why do you offer a free pre-shoot consultation?
This is an opportunity to get to know one another. It's also a way to take care of our photography contract.
If you are unable to meet in person, a phone conversation is usually enough and I will email you a packet of information and the contract to sign.
-
How long is a portrait session?
Most portrait sessions take 1 to 2 hours and newborn sessions can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.
-
How and where?
The sessions are shot at my studio, or on location mostly outdoor with natural light.
-
What is the best time of day to book a session?
That depends on what you are looking for. If you want a studio session, any time of day works fine.
If you want an outdoor session, early in the morning or late in the afternoon works best.
-
What do we wear?
Wear your favorite outfit, whatever makes you feel good.
It's best to avoid bold stripes and checks because these don't work well in pictures, try not to have half the family dressed in white and the other half in black as the contrast in the images can be distracting.
If you want everyone matching, consider putting everyone in simple muted-toned clothes.
-
Makeup?
Avoid shimmering eye shadows and shiny foundations—it's best to keep your makeup matte.
I do not provide makeup services so it's up to you whether or not you want to hire a makeup professional or do your own makeup for the photo shoot.
-
What’s the best time to book a maternity session?
Generally between 27 and 35 weeks is the best time to showcase your belly. Maternity shoots can be done at any location but an indoor setting that provides comfort and privacy is the best solution.
-
What’s the best time to book a newborn session?
The best time to take newborn photos is during the first two weeks after birth but if your baby is older than this, don't worry! We can still get great photos.
My preferred look is simple, natural, and centered around your absolutely beautiful baby.
I usually get the best results if you schedule the photo shoot close to your child’s naptime. If they are already tired or sleeping when it’s time to take photos they will be more agreeable.
The session will include photos of the whole family as well as solo portraits of the new baby.
-
Can you include my pet in the session?
Of course! Pets are more than welcome!
-
If I need to cancel my session, how late do I have to cancel?
Cancellations require a 48 hours email notice before the session takes place.
Deposit is non-refundable. You may reschedule the session for another day.
-
What if it rains?
In the event of rain we will reschedule your session.
-
Can I book your studio for the photo shoot?
The studio is a perfect location for Headshots, and Portraits. I do not shoot group pictures in the studio.
I can offer quite a bit of variety in terms of backgrounds.
-
Do you shoot color and black and white?
I shoot everything in color and transfer images to black & white in post-production.
I’ll archive all the original files, so I’ll always have the color files available, even if I give you the images in B&W.
-
What happens after the photo shoot?
I will email you a link to a gallery of high resolution pictures for you to download for personal use.
You will have to pick your favorite ones, that you want me to retouching/editing.
You can buy more retouched images, in addition to those already included in your package, for $50 each.
-
How long after the session can I expect to receive my photos?
Delivery times can vary depending on the time of year, but 7 days is the standard. I always do my best to deliver as soon as possible.
